Covid 19 Update

To our valued patients,

These are unprecedented times and our community has experienced immense change over the past few months. At 88 Finch East Dental Centre, we have resumed our day-to-day clinical schedules and are carefully prioritizing emergency and urgent care. Our commitment to keep you safe remains of the utmost importance. We strive to maintain strict infection control protocols in accordance with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO). We will abide by and implement up-to-date rulings or changes that may be issued by either the RCDSO or The Ministry of Public Health as deemed necessary.

We are also implementing extra precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Changes you may notice at your next dental appointment are as follows:

Equipment

  • Each reception area has plexiglass installed to ensure the safety of patients and staff members

  • Surgically Clean Air, a medical grade Hepa-Rx filtration unit that meets and exceeds the guidelines for general surgery applications is located in the reception area and all operatories. This large capacity airflow management system filters and destroys all pollutants including bacteria and viruses.

  • Signage will appear throughout the office to remind staff and patients to comply with Public Health guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19

  • The reception and patient waiting areas will be sanitized multiple times daily

Health & Safety Checks

  • Our office will communicate with you prior to your appointment with a series of Covid-19 screening questions

  • We encourage patients to wait in their cars before scheduled appointments. You will be notified by a phone call or text when it is time to enter the office

  • Appointments will be managed to accommodate social distancing, therefore, you may have fewer options for scheduling. You may also experience longer than usual appointments to allow us time to review your treatment, as our offices have been closed since March 15th, 2020.

  • Our staff will kindly ask all patients to use hand sanitizer upon entering the office. You will also find hand sanitizer in the reception area for your use as needed

  • You will be required to wear a mask at all times while in the office

  • A designated staff member will check your temperature and take a pulse oximeter reading prior to your appointment

  • You will be asked to rinse 1%-15% hydrogen peroxide in the operatory before any treatment

  • Magazines and/or toys will no longer be available in the reception area for sanitary reasons

  • Our complimentary coffee and refreshment stand will be minimized to provide only water at this time

We’re available to answer any questions you may have regarding our Covid-19 protocol. As we navigate this new state of normal, we look forward to reconnecting with each and every one of you!

Stay Safe,
